A life-long resident of Yorkshire, in the United Kingdom, I have loved the process of finding pictures for many years.

It wasn't until a period of enforced creative time-filling, during the lockdown periods of the pandemic, that I spent the time really required to notice my local area.

I became increasingly aware that so many people were stuck indoors in places that lacked the easy access to the wonderful sights that I had been lucky enough to find around me.  This love for the area has only grown over the years, and it presents a regular challenge to find the beauty in the everyday scenes that I might otherwise have taken for granted.

I wanted to create a place on the internet to share this love of the outdoors, and specifically this part of the world. Here you will find my work, the stories behind it all, and  I really hope to share the joy and peace I find in these photographic experiences.
